My favorite project that we did this year in math was the Future Entrepreneur Project. During this project we were asked to create an item that we thought would be a hit in the marketing industry. We made a prototype of the object that we wanted, named the item, and calculated how much it would cost to buy the item. We would decide on how much the product would cost based on how much our profit would be. When we got all this information we would make a pitch to the class on why our product will be big in the market and why they should support it. After that, the class voted on how persuasive our pitch was and if they wanted to support it or not.

   My group and I decided to make a swim bag for our product. We did this because we both enjoy swimming and we wanted to design a swim bag that would be essential for both of us and other swimmers. The bag we designed was similar to others in the swim bad industry and could be used for other sports too. It had a lot of updated materials and was very “high tech” for a swim bag. We decided not to price it that high because of the profit that we wanted to make. With our swim bag we would have made over 40% which is good for our product and our bags were priced around the same as other swim bags. This is how we did our project and this is also why I really enjoyed doing this.
