Language arts has been a very enjoyable and fun class this year. We have done many projects but one of my favorites was the Inspiring People Project. In this project we got to write a poem about any person in the world that inspired us. It could be your parents for instance, or even someone like Justin Beiber. In the poem you had to explain why that person inspired you and what this person does.

I chose to do Dana Vollmer as my person that inspired me. I chose to do Dana Vollmer because she is an olympic swimmer, gold medalist, and she had to work hard her entire life. I was happy when I got to do her because she is my biggest role model. She is an olympic butterflyer, which is hard for women to achieve. When I finished this poem I was excited and filled with joy because she is such a hard working women and most people don’t even know her.
